Light and shadows in one of the old historic touristic streets in the medieval principality of Monaco Monte Carlo on the French Riviera in Southern Europe. The bars and cafes normally very busy were closed in the afternoon hours, and the otherwise busy street was temporarily empty. As a general custom in Europe, restaurants take a break between the lunch and dinner hours to prepare the meals, or just rest. This was also the case here. You can see the tables and chairs stored on the side of the street. I enhanced this photo with a digital painting touch for a more artistic look.
