Description
This is the famous Pink Elephant in Las Vegas, a historic statue of a pachyderm, in front of the Diamond Inn Motel. This motel was once the only motel with a swimming pool in the city and the elephant was attracting the tourists in. It used to make a trumpet noise, which was to laud and they took the sound machinery out. As I read, this cute mascot was brought here from the Disney World, where was displayed in the 50's. It came to Las Vegas in the 7-'s though. Today, everybody stops in front of him to take pictures and it's located right across from the Mandalay Hotel on Las Vegas Strip :) I made it a little more artistic looking with a touch of digital painting.
