A Wood duck mother with three ducklings is gracefully floating on the shimmering waters of a pond, trying to hide behind the vegetation growing above the water. Tall green grass partially obscures the view in the foreground, creating a sense of a hidden glimpse into their world. I photographed this travel scenery in a park in the Ottawa area, Ontario, Canada during the springtime, and I used selective focusing to blur the grass blades and reveal the birds behind.
