Artist's Description
This is a travel photograph of traffic jam in Santiago Atitlan in Guatemala. A common scene in the busy quite narrow streets of this country, where cars, buses and people try to get through... The central point of interest in the image is a so called "Chicken Bus", which is a common old deteriorated and rusted US school bus. Guatemalan import them to be used as public transportation and decorate them in their specific artistic style. This one for instance, looks more like a truck and displays a big bull skull in front. The passengers are sitting on top of it, as they probably didn't have room in the back. Anyway, everybody is creative in Guatemala :) I tried to be creative too and made this image as a digital oil painting for a more artistic look.
