The local farmers' market (mercado) in Ajijic, Mexico on Lake Chapala is a very popular and busy place. It runs only once a week, but here you can buy at very good prices fresh produce and many other things, that you cannot find in the supermarkets - not the same quality at least. It is also very colorful and interesting to explore if you are a photographer or just a curious tourist.
