Artist's Description
I saw and photographed this cute Round-tailed ground squirrel in the park of San Xavier Del Bac Mission in Arizona, near Tucson. The small desert rodent was playing and friendly posing for me. I only had my iPhone, but because he was so fun I took several shots of him. It was in the sunlight of the afternoon, at the golden hour and I liked the long shadows created by the warm sun. I also liked the juxtaposition of this little guy on the huge - looks like, barrel cactus behind him. It was at springtime and the beautiful cactus was topped with yellow buds, soe everything was nice and happy.
