Antique buildings with weathered walls flanking a narrow cobblestone street in Montblank, Tarragona, Spain. Dating back to Palaeolithic times, along with other Iberian villages on Santa Bàrbara hill, the place was settled by the Romans. After the Islamic invasion (the Moors), in 711 AD, the area developed as a successful agricultural and commercial region of the Iberian peninsula, continuing for many years, even after the expulsion of the Muslims, when the Roman Catholic Church took over. Today, Montblank is an attractive historic and touristic place, a travel destination, with many interesting things to explore and visit. I took the photo in a sunny summer afternoon, when the sunlight was hitting part of the buildings, while others where in the shade. I also got inspired and made my travel photograph as a painting in the digital media.
