Description
Lonely curly tree in the Death Valley National Park, California, at springtime. It was nice to see some green in this dry arid landscape surrounded by mountains, rocks and sand. I was attracted by this particular tree, not only because of the contrast with the brown colors around, but also by its curly shape. However, through my telephoto, right in the middle of the tree, where the two main branches start, I perceive a kind of a weird face, more like a skull (?)... If you enlarge the image you may be able to see it as well, but it's just an optical illusion - we are in the Death Valley after-all :)

I see what you are talking about with the "face," Tatiana. Neat! I used to camp in Death Valley as a little girl. Nice memories. f/l
