Artist's Description
Humorous artistic antique Wild West weather vane as a sculpture representing the old fashion western miners where working in the 19 century. I photographed it while traveling trough and exploring Dolan Springs, a small village in Arizona, in-between Las Vegas and Kingman. The artwork shows a scenery of a miner carrying a pickax while the donkey behind is carrying more working equipment. I liked not only the beautiful piece of art, but also the fact that a real bird was perching on the head of the man. It also looks like the the bird is balancing the sculpted scene, which otherwise would be too heavy on the left side :)
