Artist's Description
Cute turtle is perched on a rock in the middle of a pond, drinking water and mirroring in the water. The surrounding rocks are submerged and create a tranquil scene of nature. I loved the simplicity of this scene inviting to positive thinking and relaxation. It was rather a gray cloudy day, but that makes the yellow markings of the tortoise show better, especially in contrast with the dark gray of its carcass. I photographed it in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico.
