Covered street sidewalk, on the "Tequila Route" with restaurants and shops leading to the central plaza in the town of Tequila, in the Jalisco State, Mexico. At about one hour drive from Guadalajara, the town which used to be called "Pueblo Mágico" (Magical Town), is a historic place and a World Heritage Site. It is also the birthplace of the popular alcoholic drink with the same name, as the the Blue Agave plant from which the drink is made, is native to this area. The town is host to many Tequila factories, some big some new and very small, where you can buy the drink for almost the price of the bottled water.
