Artist's Description
This is the black and white version of my previously uploaded color photo taken inside Paris, Las Vegas (Nevada). The themed replica of the French capital is filled with little streets, shops, and corners of everyday life, and on one of them I found this bronze statue of a street sweeper.
Without color, the scene shifts in mood. The cobblestones reflect light in shades of gray, the bronze figure shows stronger shadows and details, and the storefronts behind him blend into soft tones. The focus moves away from the warm atmosphere of the color version and becomes more about structure, texture, and form.
What I loved about creating this version is how the absence of color highlights the sculptural quality of the worker. His posture, the tilt of the broom, and the simple act of sweeping stand out more clearly, giving the composition a quiet yet powerful presence.
