Artist's Description
Driving on Oaxaca, Mexico country roads we had to stop and try these corn cobs on a stick. They looked and smelled so appetizing at these roadside stands. The vendor, a Mexican lady, was covered with a handmade summer blanket to protect herself from the hot sun. She was also preparing the corn, which in the Mexican custom is first boiled and then grilled. Mexicans also put some hot chili sauce on these corn cobs. Not for us thanks! We ate it simple, with some salt on it, and it was really tasty. A real travel experience starts with the local food, and we always go for it.
