Artist's Description
A vibrant Spanish red rose dominates the foreground against a summer blue sky with some puffy clouds, with a quote by John Lennon that reads, "Love is the flower you've got to let grow." The petals appear soft and intricate, capturing the natural beauty and essence of the bloom.
I photographed it while traveling in Spain, where this flower is often regarded as a symbol of everlasting love, making it popular for Spanish men to give to their special ladies. When in bloom, the roses are very striking and a single piece is all it takes to make a lady swoon.
