A robin is perched vigilantly on the rim of a nest cradled between the forks of a tree, with the warm glow of sunlight highlighting its features. Nestled within the twigs, newborn chicks open their beaks wide, awaiting feeding from their attentive mother bird. I took this travel instance in Ontario, Canada, in springtime at the golden hour of the afternoon
