Artist's Description
A brown-orange robin mother with an earthworm in its beak stands over its chicks in a nest nestled between tree branches, on an early spring day.
After watching this robin's nest and the bird hatching for about a week up in a tree, using my telephoto lens, I was able to capture the robin mother on her arrival with fresh food for the newborn babies. The open mouths of the hungry chicks are pointed upwards, eagerly awaiting food from their parent. I photographed this scene from my balcony in Ontario, Canada.
