Open pods of a milkweed plant release their seeds in a wild meadow, bathed in the warm light of a late afternoon sun. Surrounding vegetation and the clear blue sky add to the serene atmosphere. I saw and photographed it on a roadside field of wildflowers in Ontario, Canada.
