Description
Three stingrays are swimming close to the sandy bottom of a clear and shallow body of water. Reflections from the surrounding environment and the sky dance on the water's surface, adding to the peaceful scenery.
* I initially thought that these underwater creatures were Manta rays, but I found out that Manta rays do not have a stinger or barb on their tail, while most Stingrays do. Another significant difference is the size of each ray: the stingrays are much smaller.
I took my travel photo at the Xcaret Ecological Park on the Riviera Maya, Mexico, Cancun area.
