This is a version of my previously uploaded picture of the giant bronze spider, called Maman, in front of the National Art Museum in Ottawa, Canada. Here it shows the same amazing sculpture as a silhouette, against a winter starry night sky at dusk. As I explain in my GiftSmart website: https://www.giftsmart.com/maman-the-giant-spider/, I photographed it this way in order to create a creepy image. In fact, there is nothing scary about, it. The French Canadian artist, Louise Bourgeois, made it with the idea of inspiring a mother’s love and protection. The sculpture It was created and displayed in 2005. The spider is 30 feet high and it has a sac full of 26 white marble eggs planted under her belly.
Welcome to my Fine Art America website and store. Here you will find a variety of photographic work I created based on my travels. that looks a bit scary
Tatiana Travelways replied:
Very good observation, Nina! :) As I explain in my Giftsmart.com site, I photographed it that way with the purpose of inspiring creepiness - that was the way it looked to me. I agree that the sculpture is weird, but there is nothing scary about. I will upload another one taken at day time today :)
