Artist's Description
The Main Street Station Las Vegas very early in the morning, before the sunrise, when the lights were on, but with no people around. Today, the building operates as a hotel casino and brewery, but it was a real passenger railroad station - the " Las Vegas station", initially constructed in 1940. Over the years, it was upgraded, demolished and reconstructed. At one moment in time (1971), it served as Amtrak's station, until the discontinuation of the Desert Wind train route in 1997. Well, everything in Las Vegas is subject to continuous changes and replacements. Currently, Las Vegas - one of the largest cities in US, doesn't have a rail station. Fortunately the beautiful old style building is still in place, with a luxury glitzy look and retro neon signs.
