Description
A large painting, framed by a red border, within a large arched opening in a brick wall in a museum depicts the back of a nude woman whose form is fractured into distinct, colorful squares. The composition focuses on the central figure, while the background displays a complex interplay of colors and shapes. The painting is an optical illusion created by Salvador Dali the famous surrealist Spanish painter as it is displayed in the Theater Museum in Figueres, Spain. Viewed from a 20-meter (65.6168 feet) distance, the scene becomes the portrait of Abraham Lincoln (Homage to Rothko). The setting is an architectural space, a hallway or a building, with rough, aged brick walls and a large arched opening. The natural lighting casts soft shadows that enhance the image's atmosphere and mood.
