Description
A vibrant, neon sign depicts a Mexican horseman (Charo) dressed in festive clothes on a rearing glistening horse in Las Vegas, Nevada. The colorful, illuminated sign shines against the twilight sky while palm trees and buildings appear silhouetted in the background. Designed by Brian Leming and built by Young Electric Sign Co. (YESCO), the artwork is a historic and iconic sign that belonged to the Hacienda Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip from 1956 to 1996. After its restoration, it was moved to the entrance of the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. I took my travel photograph at dusk.
