Description
The famous Hoover Dam built in the Black Canyon between Arizona and Nevada, between 1931 and 1936, the years of the Great Depression in the USA. It was originally known as Boulder Dam, as it is located near Boulder City, Nevada, and renamed after the President Herbert Hoover. Three US stated: Nevada, Arizona, and California benefit from water and energy provided by it. The Lake Mead is the reservoir formed by the dam, the largest reservoir in the United States. Both the lake and the dam are a big tourist attraction.
