Description
Red and green Oregon Holly leaves and blue berries in the rain. This native to northwestern North America, Mahonia repens (creeping Mahonia) is a low growing evergreen shrub with a multi-season interest. In spring and summer, it has glossy green leaves and clusters of bright yellow flowers. In the fall, the flowers turn into blue-purple berries, and the leaves they become red - and rusty in the winter. I saw this decorative plant growing in front of a wall in Washington state, in a rainy October day and I liked bright red color of the leaves with water drops on them and small blue berries around. I took my photograph with the iPhone and digitally enhanced it in digital media.
