Artist's Description
A historic train engine is displayed on a pedestal surrounded by snow, with a sign welcoming visitors to Harlowton. On the side of the electric engine, a sign reads "The Milwaukee Road" letting us know we're seeing part of the Milwaukee Railroad. Built in 1990, the railroad from Lake Michigan to the Pacific Ocean played an important role in growing the community to the present city in Montana. The scene is set in a calm, sunny, but colorless wintry environment with gray-blue shades, featuring leafless trees and a clear winter sky, contrasting with the pink-red colors of the train.
