Artist's Description
Macro photography, of a Green bee (Agapostemon) also known as metallic green bee, at springtime. This is a group of Western hemisphere sweet bees of generally green appearance with metallic reflections. I photographed this unusual insect on an open white petaled flower with pink stamens, a beautiful combination of colors. I saw it in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada at the end of spring, beginning of summer.
