Artist's Description
Travel scene featuring a vacation day and tourists taking a gondola rides on the Grand Canal at the Venetian Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas. Unlike in the real Venice in Italy, the water here is wonderfully blue and clean, reflecting the boats, pillars and buildings, but rather shallow. Well, Las Vegas is not on the well, it is not the on the Mediterranean sea, but in the middle of the Nevada desert. It is however incredible that in this place you can see the Dodge Palace, Rialto Bridge, Venice Tower and many other Italian architectural wonders, while being able to take a ride in authentic Venetian gondolas imported from Italy... I made my original photograph as a watercolor in digital media for a more vibrant look and feel.
