Although I could easily pass by and not notice this frosted maple leaf on the ground, I couldn't. Equipped with my camera, I was hunting for beautiful autumn nature photos in the area of Prince Edward County, Ontario. It was a cold sunny morning, just perfect for my travel photography, and after some landscapes, it was time to also look down for those small unobserved jewels. This golden leaf, with a perfect shape attracted my eyes. Laying on the frosted grass still green, it was itself powdered by frost. The sun cleaned part of it, which with the back light became almost transparent and graciously glowing and begging to be photographed. How could I resist - It's the Canadian symbol after-all.
