Artist's Description
At the end of summer, a small village in Quebec reveals its charm by the wide St. Lawrence River, where its waters gradually meet the Atlantic. In the foreground, a cascade flows over the rocks toward the lower riverbed, while the village appears beyond, marked by a white church and red-roofed houses. On the horizon, a ship moves slowly across the blue expanse, connecting this quiet region with the wider maritime world.
I captured this view in Eastern Quebec, where the season’s shift could be felt in the crisp air and the first touches of autumn in the foliage. The combination of water, rocks, trees, and settlement reflects the natural beauty of Atlantic Canada and the life that has long grown along its shores.
