Close-up on a vibrant dragonfly perches delicately on a green pine branch on a sunny day of summer. Its outstretched wings display an intricate venation pattern, while its body is adorned with visible turquoise markings. The insect is quite noticeable against the dark soft-focus background.
My husband took this travel photo in the woods of Nova Scotia, Atlantic Canada.
