You are so welcome Tatiana. My pleasure. I can't believe you were so close to my neck of the woods. Green Valley is southwest of me, about 45 minutes away. From there, one has a fabulous view of the west side of the Santa Rita Mountain Range, and the view of the famous butte, Elephant Head. When you shot this cactus, the cactus flowers had all dropped off where the indentation in the fruit is. Seems this would be summer time perhaps during our monsoon season. You will have to visit the Sonoran Desert in the springtime, if there is a next time. So glad I get to submit this in Beauty of Arizona!

Thank you Janet for featuring my picture in the "Artist Salon" gallery at Fine Art America. I was there in the springtime, but I didn't go around too much. I have sooo much work to do on the computer :)

Tatiana, wow! Prickly pear cactus fruits are harvested to make jelly and prickly pear meringue pie. All the Sonoran Desert critters love to consume them. After the cactus flower dries up, you have these delightfully colorful fruits left behind. You will have to share where in Arizona you shot this. A wonderful capture. LF Janet 💕

Thank you so much Janet for letting me know about these things unknown to me...! There are plenty of them in Green Valley. We spent a couple of months there: http://www.travelways.com/monsoon-season-in-arizona/
