There are lots of colors in Latin America, and Guatemala makes no exception. What is common to see are old decayed walls and rusted doors and windows. The mix of the turquoise deteriorated wall with lots of colors appearing under the peeling paint, and the two bright red contrasting metal doors, was part of the reason I took this photo. An other reason was the juxtaposition between the beautiful tropical plant with purple flowers growing right in the middle. The harmony between contrasting colors harmony, shapes, and textures, plus the symmetry, were a treat to my eyes in this urban scene of Central America.
