Oh my gosh Tatiana, I was in that same exact square back in the summer of 2019. Wow, you captured that scene beautifully!! I love the colors and detail. Well done! l/fave

Thank you, Emmy! I'm not surprised since this is such a well visited city and the old town around the cathedral is maybe the most popular place... I was there in the early spring of 2009 :)

Artist's Description

In the historic part of the well-known city of Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, I captured a beautiful urban scenery during early spring. The scene included rows of colorful, multi-story buildings with German-style architecture and colors, lining a cobbled square. The square had outdoor cafes where people were seated and enjoying their meals and drinks. A few tourists were also standing and admiring the medieval plaza, with a fountain in the middle, adding vibrancy to the European setting. I took a photograph of this picturesque view and later added a painterly touch to it using digital media tools.

About Tatiana Travelways

Tatiana Travelways

Welcome to my Fine Art America website and store. Here you will find a variety of photographic work I created based on my travels. In my pictures, I'm trying to capture the sense of the places I visited and what I found interesting about them: history, architecture, lifestyle, and unique moments. Those seen but not noticed types of things are among my favorites. I enjoy both shooting photos and digitally playing with the images for a more artistic look and feel. The digital era of my life started in 1994 when after migrating to Canada I attended the Computer Graphics section at College Lasalle in Montreal - Oui, je parle francais aussi :) Back in Eastern Europe, I was a hydro engineer, but doing artistic things was always my...
