Artist's Description
Las Vegas replica of the famous Saint Mark’s bell tower (Campanile di San Marco), a symbol of Venice, at the Venetian Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in the Nevada desert. In my picture, the tower is framed by the baroque columns of the Doge’s Palace, emphasizing its height and elegance. The simple red shaft, topped by a white belfry and green pyramidal roof, creates a strong vertical rhythm against the pale evening sky.
This hotel resort is considered to be the second largest in the world and is definitely an important tourist and travel destination. The tower’s grandeur, combined with its careful framing, evokes both admiration for Venetian architecture and the imaginative spectacle of Las Vegas.
