The large red historic Cannery Pier Hotel building sits on pier 39, on the Columbia river in Astoria, Oregon. The view from the beach, reveals many remnants old pillars protruding from the surface of water, suggesting another former pier. Above, the green steel superstructure of the Astoria Megler, Bridge spans over, complementing the overcast sky. In the background, the Northern Oregon Coast Range of mountains crosses the scenic, picturesque view at the golden light of the afternoon.
