A herd of American antelopes is trying to graze on the snowy hillside of Western Montana, with pine trees in the background under a clear blue sky. Footprints crisscross the snow around the animals, indicating activity in the otherwise tranquil winter landscape. These kind of mammals, also known as Proghorn, are more closely related to goats than to true antelopes, and like to live in wide-open spaces, where trees become scarce. I was lucky to see them in a beautiful sunny day of winter.
