Description
A snow-covered half-timbered building stands prominently on the edge of the river Regnitz, while other German traditional houses can be observed along the riverbank. In the background, the tower of the cathedral stand up on the hill, all under a muted, cloudy sky. A faint dusting of snow can be seen on the rooftops and surrounding environment, creating a serene winter scene. the building in the foreground is actually part of the Town Hall (Rathaus), which sits on the Upper Bridge. I took this travel photo in Bamberg, a medieval historic town in Bavaria, Germany, at the confluence of the river Regnitz with the river Main. The town has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.
