Description
The colorful retro style Mr.D'z Diner on the famous Route 66, downtown Kingman, Arizona is a nostalgic tourist attraction place with traditional fast food and lots of memorabilia from the 1950’s-era. The outside view shows a vibrant teal building with a retro themed decor, complete with a classic blue truck parked out front. Neon pink picnic tables complement the cheerful exterior under a bright blue sky.The restaurant has been transformed into a diner from the former Kingman Café and Kimo Shell Station dating back to 1939, and started to function in the 1980's. I took the photo in a nice sunny day summer.
* This picture was the First Place Winner in the "Route 66 Arizona contest" at FAA, without any voting solicitation! :)
