Description
It's nice to take a walk or a hike in the woodlands of Washington. You don't have to go too deep in the forest to be able to see and admire these tall majestic type of pine trees with red bark. They grow on the west coast of North America. I have also seen them in Oregon. The Scottish botanist David Douglas studied them, thus their name: Douglas fir. I took this photo on a sunny day in late spring, in the bright light, when the trees were projecting their shadows on an alley. I also thought that an impressionist painting was appropriate for this scene, so I digitally created it.
